How to check in zines

When someone returns a zine, you need to check it back in. First log in to the website using your own member account (you must be a Librarian) or the general Anchor Archive account. Go to Login in the side menu and enter your username and password. There are 3 ways to check zines in using the catalogue:

Through Circulation (the easiest way)

  1. Go to Zine Library > Circulation
  2. You will see a list of all of the zines currently on loan in order of due date. Find the zine that is being returned and click Check In. You will receive a confirmation message. Click Proceed.
  3. To check in more items, repeat these steps.

Through the Member Record

  1. Find the person's member record and scroll down to the Circulation section, where there will be a list of all zines the member has checked out.
  2. Click on Check In next to the title that is being returned. You will receive a confirmation message. Click Proceed.
  3. To check in more items, repeat these steps.

Through the Item Record

  1. Search for the zine that is being returned by entering the title or part of the title in the Search box on the top right of every screen, by going to Zine Library > Zine Catalogue and entering the title or part of the title in the Title field, or by going to Zine Library > Zine Catalogue > Search Items and entering the Item ID that's on the sticker on the back of the zine.
  2. When you find the zine click on the title. Scroll down and find the Item ID. It will look something like EDU 1223. If there is more than one Item listed that means there is more than one copy of the zine in the library. Figure out which copy you are returning by matching the Item ID on the screen to the Item ID on the bottom right corner on the back of the zine.
  3. Click on the Item ID. You will be taken to the Item record. Click the Check In button. You will receive a confirmation message. Click Proceed.
  4. To check in more items, repeat these steps.
