1) Dinner and a Movie - "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990 version)" - Sunday January 17, 7pm
The ULTIMATE teen pizza party featuring 90s teen movies with radical lingo, skateboarding, ninjitsu, and dinosaurs!

Mary Burnet will host a tubular teen pizza party and if people are up for it will show a double feature:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990 version) and Jurassic Park (the first one).

If people are too tired for two, TMNT takes priority. She'll do veggie and vegan pizzas, and will try her best at a gluten-free one. All remaining funds will go to gross candy and grape soda.  Please wear flannel and backwards caps.

Admission is $8 and seating is limited!  So book early at semaphorecinema@gmail.com.

2) Cataloguing! – Monday January 18, 2-4pm and Thursday January 21, 2-4pm
Ever wonder how you can help out the center? We are in the process of cataloguing all our zines in a digital catalogue. There will be a volunteer ready to teach you how. Come by anytime for some tea, popcorn, cookies and zine cataloguing!

3) Radio Zine! Tuesdays 10:30pm-12am on CKDU 88.1FM

Listen in for readings, interviews, discussions about zines and other things!

4) Popular Education Series - Growing Food in the City with Garity Chapman – Wednesday January 20, 7pm
Last fall I traveled to New York, Philadelphia, Toronto and Montreal
to meet folks working on urban gardens, farms and community food
projects. Hear about some of these awesome projects, the folks I met
and some ideas I have gathered.

5) We are now accepting applications for our 2010 Roberts Street Residency Program!
Residencies run seasonally at The Roberts Street Social Centre, from June to September each year. Residencies are two weeks long, and
residents are provided with space, equipment and support for their project as well as living space in a garden shed in the backyard of
the Centre. We are interested in proposals for projects that embody the same sort of do-it-yourself spirit as the Social Centre, and that
contribute in some way to the community and/or the space. For more information and an application please email
residency@robertsstreet.org or check our websitehttp://robertsstreet.org.
Applications are due February 15, 2010.
Spread the word!
