Ben Gallagher presents "Babette's Feast" with a vegan soup and asparagus quiche.

2. Skillshare Workshop - Mon. May 11, 7pm - Rug Hooking for Beginners with Margaret Forsey
All skillshare workshops are free and hands on, materials are supplied. YOU MUST RSVP if you want to attend: skillshare@robertsstreet.org
3. Amanda Fauteaux, Visiting Artist! Monday May 11 - Friday May 15
Amanda will be set up shop at the Anchor Archive for the week, working on turning her radio show (Sackville Charm School on CHMA 106.9FM) into a book filled with spells, recipes, and social tips for becoming more charming. Amanda is an artist living in Sackville, NB. If you want to know more about her check out her website at www.neverbemean.com. She is really excited to meet you, so be sure to visit anytime during the day to share some of your own charms, or at least say hello. A little book launch and tea party will be held Friday May 15, at 3pm. See you there!

4. Anchor Archive Zine Library volunteer orientation - Tuesday May 12
Interested in working some open hours shifts at the Zine Library? We always need more volunteers. We're having a training Tuesday at 5pm, please RSVP if you want to come. We'll go over Zine Library policy and rules, check out the catalogue, and learn to use the People's Photocopier.
5. Ink Storm Bike Week Poster Exchange!
Ink Storm Screenprinting Collective invites you to take part in our Bike week Poster Exchange.
How It Works: Design and print an edition of posters based around the theme of bikes(number to be determined). Inkstorm will supply ink and screens. The posters will be displayed at the Roberts Street bike week event on June 5th.
And following the show, each participant will receive a portfolio of all the posters

7. Crowd Control Sound & Art Fair - North St. Church, Sunday May 24, 12-4:30pm
This spring the Obey Convention will present a special celebration of DIY culture. We are inviting local and traveling record labels, zine makers, screen printers, and other talented folks to show off their wares at the North St. Church on May 24th. Besides lots of tablers, the event will also include workshops and live music throughout the day. The fair is absolutely free to the public, so we expect big crowds. Tables are $15 and very limited. 8. Call for musicians to collaborate on an improvised silent film score!
Garth Hardy is coming from Winnipeg to be our first Roberts Street resident of the year. Garth is an artist and musician who will create a collaborative, improvised score for a classic silent film that will be performed outdoors during the city wide Sound Bytes Festival. He’s looking for local musicians (any instruments) to collaborate with, and has chord change charts ready for C pitched instruments, Bb instruments, and if any are identified, Eb instruments. Want to help out? He's in town May 22-31. Please email anchorarchive@robertsstreet.org if you're interested.

10. Crow's Nest space for rent
Need space to hold meetings, events, small workshops, or show films? You can rent the Crow's Nest (upstairs) at the Roberts Street Social Centre. There's a digital projector and screen, sound system, chairs and tables.... Rates start at $5 for a quick meeting and help pay the rent! Email us to find out more.

We are asking zine lovers, screenprinting enthusiasts, local or visiting artists, and popular education devotees to demonstrate their support financially. Community support is essential for the Roberts Street Social Centre to continue to grow and thrive. Contributions of any amount are greatly appreciated.
