-Open hours have generally been busy.

-We acquired a laser printer for free that should work better than the other 2 printers we've had recently.
-Liz is resurrecting the Radio Zine show on CKDU and looking for people to help out with it. She's planning to do shows around the residencies and skillshares throughout the summer. Interested folks can get in touch with Liz.
-There is a sound and art fair coming up on May 24th at North Street Church for the Obey Convention. Will set up viewing and listening station for audio zines. There will also be a couple of workshops at Roberts Street during the fair.
People's Photocopier
-It has moved from HCAP and now lives in the Zine Library.
-Very popular, usage has gone up dramatically.
-Some problems with dirty copies - technician fixing it.
-Accounting is outdated but Capp is going to update it. We need to set up a good system for where people are paying for copies and how this is stored in the library. Sarah and Capp meeting this week to figure that out.
-Photocopier training session coming up on Sunday, May 10th, 5:00, partnered with volunteer zine library training.
Ink Storm
-Ink Storm workshops well attended. 3 week classes running every other month depending on interest.
-Running youth workshops with grant, including one at Chocolate Lake Community Centre for youth with Down syndrome.
-Talking about making a portable printing station to bring elsewhere, which will open up possibilities for other workshops.

Calendar Committee
-Pop ed lecture series very strong, well attended. Nothing scheduled after tomorrow, if someone wants to do one they can but it's okay to have them empty since we're getting busy with other things. Residencies might lead to talks.
-Semaphore Cinema also going well. Not scheduling anymore for now but some will probably appear.
-Working with AFCOOP on animation screening for John Weldon (resident). May use a larger space like the North End Church.
-Dinner and a movie happening on Sundays, really awesome with lots of great food and films. No shortage of people wanting to participate. Caleb and Sam organizing April and May. Food usually costs $40-50 per week on average. Usually make that much in profit too. Will it continue during the summer? Unknown. Caleb will be away in July and August. Maybe do project outside.
-Life Raft on hiatus until the fall because too hot upstairs and can't open windows because neighbours complain.

-We got so many applications that we're having 3 residents per month. They will overlap - billet 4-5 days and stay in shed 10 days.
-We applied for a grant from Tourism, Culture, and Heritage to pay residents' travel costs but we didn't get it. Maybe have some fundraisers to pay for travel costs.
-Help is needed coordinating residencies - get in touch with Sarah if you want to help. Susan can help.
Website Committee
-The Website Committee is currently made up of Zac and Amanda, and while Zac has been finishing school the Committee hasn't been working on the website. Now Zac is done school and work is starting again.
-They presented a new design for the website, but it's really more of a plan for organizing the content. We could use help from real web designers in designing the website.
-Lucas, Sarah, Zac, and Amanda will meet to work on the website and Lucas will invite some of his web designer friends.
-Zac can set up e-mail addresses for people/committees that use the domain name robertsstreet.org. They can be set up to forward to gmail or another account, but it looks more professional. Get in touch with Zac if you want an e-mail address.
-We should have a general account info@robertsstreet.org instead of using anchorarchive@gmail.com as general address. Will discuss at next Website Committee meeting.
-We will add something to the website where people can sign up for the e-mail list.
Ongoing project updates
-We applied for 3 HRSDC Summer Student Grants and haven't heard if we got them yet. Sarah called them yesterday but they wouldn't tell her. We should hear by end of week.
-Applied for equipment grant from HRM to buy 2 computers. Lucas brought old laptop over and it now lives in the upstairs office. We'll pay him if we get the grant. For downstairs we'll get a Mac mini.
-Should set up different accounts on downstairs computer that limits what people can do on it and save on it.
-You Grow Girl wants to use the Centre again this year. They're waiting to find out about a grant. They'll do some gardening out back. Series of workshops for young women.
-If that doesn't happen Christine will help organize a gardening committee to work on backyard.
-Sarah applied for grant from MEC to landscape the backyard for $1,000. Will find out in June.
-Christine is doing a quilt project. Meeting on Tuesday, May 19th at 7:00. People donating fabric, tell stories through quilt.
Review of decisions from last meeting
Grants Policy
-At the last meeting we created a policy for applying for grants. See minutes from last meeting for the policy.
-Sarah made a "Collective" e-mail list in the Gmail account for people who want to participate in decision-making. If anyone wants to join it, let her know. Sarah will add Caleb, Susan, Christine, and Josee.
-Is everyone good with the Grants Policy? Yes.
-At the last meeting we also decided that different committees should send their meeting minutes to the Collective list to help keep people informed of new projects.
No separate fundraising committee
-At the last meeting we decided to not have a separate fundraising committee and instead to make everyone responsible for fundraising.
-Seems to be working, fundraising going well.
-Calendar Committee is sort of the fundraising committee, though, since that's where events get planned.
Review emergency decisions
-None made since last meeting.
-EXCEPT: the back door lock fell apart. Colleen's locksmith friend fixed it and now there are new keys to the back door.
New decision proposals
Upstairs Houseguest Policy
-We created this policy 2 meetings ago but did not review it at the last meeting because we hadn't had any guests and so it hadn't been tested. We still haven't had any guests, although the policy has been used to refuse people. We will still review it.
-Strike line 7 about criteria for who stays upstairs and change the name "Emergency Task Force" to "Collective."
-#5 should become #1.
-Move #10 to be part of #3.3
-Post it in the office and use it for now, but we may need to revisit it in the future. May need to define criteria about who's accepted and why.
-Upstairs Houseguest Policy approved
-Lucas will make the amendments and post the policy.
Downstairs bathroom
-The downstairs bathroom/ Ink Storm wash station has major fungus growing on the walls. Drywall totally destroyed. We thought about sealing it up with plastic but maybe need to gut the bathroom and rebuild it as a wash station - get rid of the bathroom part of it - pull out toilet, add floor drain, etc.
-This will cost money and we don't know how much.
-Inkstorm has some money, Roberts Street has some money, maybe do a fundraiser to pay for it ourselves.
-Could have work parties/skillshares to work on the bathroom. But there would be health risks with the mold. Hiring someone to work on it and hiring someone to teach it are different things too.
-Keeley's friend has offered to look at it and give us an estimate.
-We could do some of it ourselves and hire professionals to do some jobs.
-It would be nice to dispose of our chemical waste better with the rebuilding of the washout station.
-Maybe get environmental grant from EAC or MEC.
-A bathroom renovation committee will be formed to discuss this, explore options, and make a proposal with intentions of spending some money - amount to be determined and approved at a later date. Committee will figure out how much it will cost and find a funding source.
-Committee will consist of Capp, Adam, Lucas, and Sarah.
6 month visioning
Residencies
-Main upcoming projects are the residencies - will spawn many events and other projects.
-Have a show at the end of the residencies displaying their work.
-Maybe make a document at the end too - like a catalogue.
Marketing
-How do we be successful without growing? We're at a good size, don't want to grow too much.
-Sarah is doing all the e-mail checking and announcements. Is it often enough or too often? Is there a better way? Sometimes too many people come to events, sometimes not many. Different people come to all the events. Our current marketing seems to be working well, though. We will create RSS feed of announcements from the website but we don't know how much it will be used.
-Maybe resurrect the Communications Committee to ease Sarah's communication workload. The Website Committee will become the Communications Committee.
-Caleb will bring his giant cork board to make bigger announcements space.
Downstairs closet
-Sarah, Caleb, and Capp will form a Closet Committee to better organize the closet.
