Interested in traveling to Toronto for the G20 at the end of June?

Everyone is welcome to a meeting on May 12th at 6 pm in the crow's nest (upstairs of the RSSC). We will be discussing how we can organize cheap and effective transportation to and from Toronto. The meeting will be one hour.

Crowd Control Sound & Art Fair Call for Participants

This spring the Obey Convention and Anchor Archive will once again present a special celebration of DIY culture. We are inviting local and traveling record labels, zine makers, screen printers, and other
talented folks to show off their wares at the BusStop Theatre, 2203 Gottingen Street, on Saturday May 29th from 11:30-4:30pm.

Shed Residencies begin May 25th

Our regular winter events are winding down, but soon there will be a lot of events put on in conjunction with our residency program. The details of each events will be posted on an ongoing basis as they are worked out, but in the meantime, below is the fabulous list of residents for this year.

Thursday Cataloguing Parties in May

Cataloguing parties will be held every Thursday for the month of May from 2 pm to 4 pm. Come by if you'd like to help input our zines into our online catalogue. No experience required!

Call for Artists—Anarchist Black Cross Art Auction Fundraiser

The Halifax Anarchist Black Cross is holding an art auction on May 1st as a fundraiser for Oso Blanco (Byron Shane Chubbuck), a Native American political prisoner.   All the money raised will go towards Oso Blanco’s legal fees.  He has been forced to hire a lawyer due to consistent mistreatment and abuse by prison authorities.  To do this, we need

Have zines you've made? The Anchor Archive Zine Library is going to have a table at the Halifax Crafters' Fair April 17 and 18. If you want your zines included in our table, please drop some off (5-15 of each) at the Anchor Archive with a price list. We'll keep any extras for selling at the zine library.
